The College of Animal Science and Food Engineering is one of the earliest departments to admit students at the inception of our university. It currently offers three undergraduate majors: Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, and Food Science and Engineering, encompassing the entire industrial chain of modern animal husbandry, including animal breeds, feed nutrition, breeding management, disease control, and food processing.

The College of Animal Science and Food Engineering is one of the earliest departments to admit students at the inception of our university. 

It currently offers three undergraduate majors: Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, and Food Science and Engineering, encompassing the entire industrial chain of modern animal husbandry, including animal breeds, feed nutrition, breeding management, disease control, and food processing. 


The Veterinary Medicine major is recognized as a provincial level first-class undergraduate program. The college is endowed with several municipal platforms and engineering centers, such as the Key Discipline in Veterinary Medicine in Nanjing, the Key Industrial College for Dairy Science and Technology, and the Key Laboratory for Animal Biotechnology. 



The college is deeply dedicated to the agricultural and pastoral industry, operating with a quiet yet profound impact. It currently has 943 full-time undergraduate students enrolled. In recent years, the college has boasted a graduate employment rate exceeding 95%, a postgraduate admission rate of over 26%, and has seen the continuous emergence of exemplary entrepreneurial alumni. Consequently, the college's social reputation and satisfaction have been progressively enhanced.
