College of Intelligent Science and Control Engineering

The College of Intelligent Science and Control Engineering currently consists of 3 undergraduate majors: Automation, Internet of Things Engineering, and Robot Engineering. To date, the major in Automation is indexed in the First-class Undergraduate Major Construction List in Jiangsu Province; the major in Internet of Things Engineering is indexed in Service Outsourcing Embedded Talent Training Project, while the major in Robot Engineering, with a promising future, is an emerging undergraduate major accredited by the state. Importantly, the college is in charge of the Theme of the New Generation of Electronic Information Technology in the Postgraduate Module of Electronic Information, which is accredited for the intakes from 2022 till now.

The discipline of Control Science and Engineering, which is under the charge of our college, was accredited as the “13th Five-Year” Key Construction Discipline by Jiangsu Province. Meanwhile, the college also provides enrollment access to various teaching and research platforms, including the Autonomous Mobile Robot Intelligent Control Technology and Application Engineering Research Center accredited by Jiangsu Province.

At present, 45 teaching and research staff are working full-time in our college, 94% of whom with doctoral degrees. Remarkably, 55% of them are rewarded with the title of senior professional post, including 5 professors and 13 associate professors. Notably, 10 of them are rewarded with the qualification of master supervisor. In recent years, the college has received several scientific research and teaching awards, including the prize of Military Science and Technology Progress (the second prize), the prize of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Progress (the second prize), the prize of Jiangsu Province Science and Technology (the third prize) and the prize of Jiangsu Province Higher Education Teaching achievements (the second prize).

The college enrolls about 1000 undergraduates and 20-30 postgraduates for MSc programs per year. The college aims to mold graduates into a multi-skilled engineering professional, with an enrollment rate of further study as high as 20%, and a high satisfaction index from employers.
