The College of Science undertakes the education of general courses in mathematics, science and chemistry for all majors cultivates professionals in Information and Computational Science, and serves the graduate training of the whole university.

In recent years, teachers have guided students to win over a thousand awards in various academic competitions, and some of them have won the Special Prize and First Prize in the Higher Education Teaching Innovation Competition of Jiangsu Province.

One teacher was selected as a training target for the "Qinglan Project" young academic leaders in Jiangsu Province universities, eight teachers were selected as training targets for the "Qinglan Project" outstanding young backbone teachers in Jiangsu Province universities, one teacher was selected as a training target in the third tier of Jiangsu Province's "333 High-Level Talent Training Project", and eleven teachers have been awarded the title of Provincial Doctor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Vice President of Science and Technology.

Over 230 high-quality academic papers, including more than 180 SCI-indexed papers and over 20 EI-indexed papers have been published. Teachers have undertaken more than 50 provincial-level or above scientific research projects, including leading 19 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 8 projects funded by the Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation. In recent years, a total of over ten million yuan in research funding has been introduced.
