The faculty currently offers 5 undergraduate majors: including Materials Science and Engineering, Composite Materials and Engineering, Function Materials, Gemology and Materials Technology, and Eye Optometry. Additionally, it has 1 undergraduate major, which is Materials Science and Engineering (Optical Materials and Applications). Materials Science and Engineering was approved to implement the "Pilot program under the outstanding Engineers Education Training Plan of the Ministry of Education". The Materials Science and Engineering, and Composite Materials and Engineering majors are the "First-class undergraduate programs in Jiangsu Province". Faculty scientific research achievements have been honored with the "Third Prize of Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Progress Award", the "Second Prize of Jiangsu Province University Science and Technology Research Achievements", and the "First Prize of Jiangsu Province Composite Materials Society Science and Technology Progress Award". The faculty is distinguished, having been authorized to establish the "Nanjing Science and Technology Innovation Team" and the "Excellent Teaching Team of Jinling Institute of Science and Technology".
