At present, the total enrollment of the SEIE is about 1000 students. There are 58 faculty members, 90% of whom hold doctoral degrees. Among them, there are 3 professors and 13 associate professors, 15 master's supervisors. The SEIE has several talents who were selected as members of various talent programs, such as the “Six Talent Peaks” High-Level Talents, the “333 High-Level Talents Training Project”, and the “Blue Project” Outstanding Young Teacher of Jiangsu province.

As one of the key schools at Jinling Institute of Technology that contribute to the master's degree program in electronic information, the SEIE is an implementing unit of the "Special Action Plan for Talent Training in Key Areas of the Electronic Information Industry," supported by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s Education and Examination Center.

The SEIE has multiple municipal-level platforms, including the Talent Training Innovation Base, Key Bases for Industry-Education Integration, Scientific Innovation Teams, and Teaching Innovation Teams.

Apart from  hosting several significant research facilities, such as the municipal-level Key Laboratory for Sensor Technology and Applications, the Municipal Engineering Research Center for Integrated Circuit Testing and Fault Diagnosis Optimization, the Institute for Intelligent Signal Processing, and the Institute for Information Cognition and Intelligent Computing, the SEIE has a Electrical and Electronic Experiment Center which is recognized as a Provincial Demonstration Center for Experimental Teaching.
