School of Foreign Languages at Jinling Institute of Technology was established in 2008, consisting of English Department, College Foreign Languages Teaching and Research Office, Graduate English Teaching and Research Office and English Examination Center.
It undertakes the teaching tasks of the English Department, the entire university's foreign languages (including college Japanese and internationally cooperated English courses), and graduate English. The School has the faculty of 68 members with good teaching ethics and rich teaching experience, including 3 professors, 29 associate professors, 1 Young and Middle-aged Academic Leader of "Qing-Lan Project" in Jiangsu universities, 1 “333 Talent” in Jiangsu Province, and 1 “Exemplary Representative of Teacher Ethics" in Nanjing education system.
The School attaches great importance to talent cultivation and actively promotes teaching reform. Currently, it has completed the construction of more than 50 online courses. “Foreign Language and Literature” has been approved as a key discipline in Nanjing, while the English major has been approved as a first-class major in Nanjing as well as a demonstration major of “Moral Education” in Jinling Institute of Technology.
The "Construction and Practice of Applied-College English Curriculum Education System" has won the school-level Excellent Teaching Achievement Award.
