The School of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture is one of the earliest established schools in our college. It was formed through the merger of the Horticulture Department of the original Nanjing Agricultural Technical College (founded in 1958, reinstated in 1984) and the Landscape Architecture Teaching and Research Office of the original Jinling Vocational University (founded in 1980), in July 2003.

The School of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture is one of the earliest established schools in our college. It was formed through the merger of the Horticulture Department of the original Nanjing Agricultural Technical College (founded in 1958, reinstated in 1984) and the Landscape Architecture Teaching and Research Office of the original Jinling Vocational University (founded in 1980), in July 2003.
The School of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture currently has a total of 62 faculty members, including 48 full-time teachers. Among them, there are 11 professors, 21 associate professors, and 31 teachers with doctoral degrees. Additionally, the college has 8 young academic leaders and key teachers supported by Jiangsu Province's "Qing Lan Project", 2 candidates for Jiangsu Province's "333" high-level talent training program, 1 beneficiary of Jiangsu Province's "Six Talent Peaks" support program, 1 recipient of the "May 1st Labor Medal" in Nanjing City, and 1 teaching innovation team in Nanjing City. The College of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture currently has a Jiangsu Province Key Discipline in Horticulture, and a School Key Discipline in Landscape Architecture.
There are 1093 students majoring in horticulture, landscape architecture, facility agricultural science and engineering, Landscape Architecture, Chinese and American horticulture (biotechnology, 3+1). The Horticulture program is designated as a first-class specialty construction project in Jiangsu Province. The Horticulture (Biotechnology, 3+1) program is classified as a high-level demonstration construction specialty in Jiangsu Province. The Landscape Architecture program is a key (featured) specialty of the college.
The college has established ten industry-university-research platforms, including the National Agricultural Product Quality and Safety and Nutritional Health Popularization Workstation, Jiangsu Province New Fertilizer Test Demonstration Base, Jiangsu Province Fruit Tree Genetics and Omics Analysis Center, Nanjing City Intelligent Horticulture Internet of Things Engineering Technology Center, Nanjing City Stereoscopic Greening Engineering Technology Research Center, Nanjing City Key Laboratory of Special Vegetable and Fruit Resources Protection and Innovation, Key Laboratory of Horticultural Plant Germplasm Innovation and Efficient Utilization, Facility Horticulture Engineering Technology Research Center, Fu Jiabian Green Tea Research Institute, and Jinling Science and Technology Landscape Planning and Design Institute.
