The School of Network and Communication Engineering (SNCE) at the Jinling Institute of Technology (JIT) was established in 2014, SNCE has 3 undergraduate majors—Communication Engineering, Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering, and Intelligent Transportation. The school is also a co construction unit of the master's program in electronic information at the university. The Communication Engineering major is currently a first-class major in Nanjing, admitting international education students. The international education model is a (3+1) training program established in cooperation with De Montfort University (DMU) in the UK.

Our school has a high-level team of full-time teachers, including 7 professors, 38% of whom hold associate high or above titles, 86% hold doctoral degrees, and 10 have the qualifications of master's supervisors. Three of them are talents from Jiangsu Province's 333 Project and Qinglan Project.

The school, taking "Engineering Education Accreditation" and "New Engineering" construction as its guide, is oriented towards the field of new generation information technology. It aligns with Nanjing's "4+4+1" leading industry system architecture, focusing on the cultivation of interdisciplinary talents in communication engineering, optoelectronic information science and engineering, computer science and technology, and transportation. The school aims to establish an applied talent training model that integrates "industry-education integration, school-enterprise cooperation, and collaborative education."

The school is equipped with significant research and innovation platforms, including the "Jiangsu Province Artificial Intelligence Traffic Innovation Application Engineering Research Center," the "Nanjing City Intelligent Transportation Innovation Application Laboratory," and the "Nanjing City Smart Transportation and Vehicle-Road Collaboration Innovation Team." Additionally, it boasts a key discipline in Information and Communication Engineering recognized by Nanjing City.

Amidst the drive to establish a premier, high-caliber applied university in Jiangsu, the School of Network and Communication Engineering is poised for even brighter developmental prospects.
